Ford Amphitheatre

For sheer beauty and intimacy, it's hard to beat the historic Ford Amphitheatre for summer entertainment under the stars. Nestled in the Hollywood Hills, the open-air amphitheatre is relatively intimate at 1,196 seats;  no patron is more than 96 feet away from the stage.

The entryway from the Box Office features a gradual climb with winding paths, two dozen species of trees and plants, a waterfall and at the top, Edison Plaza, a gathering place where patrons can dine and mingle before and after the show.

The John Anson Ford Theatres are owned and operated by the County of Los Angeles. Located in a 32-acre County regional park, the facility is run through a three-way partnership between the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Ford Theatre Foundation.
