Programs

Programs at the John Anson Ford Theatres nurture Los Angeles County-based artists, arts organizations, and audiences through programming initiatives designed to encourage participation in the arts.

Ford stage

Summer Series:

From May to October, music, dance and film events that represent the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles are presented in the 1200-seat outdoor Ford Amphitheatre.  Big World Fun

Big World Fun:

Music and dance events that represent the diverse cultural landscape of Southern California are presented on Saturday mornings in July and August in the outdoor amphitheatre. Performances are appropriate for children ages 4 to 12 and their families. Children are admitted free; adults pay $5.

 

JAM Sessions: 

This free interactive series encourages Angelenos to release their inner artist by singing, dancing and playing music with the guidance of professional artists from the Ford summer season. 

 Signature Series

Signature Series:

With support provided by L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, the Signature Series is a concert series that pairs world-renowned performers with a local treasure. The Signature Series is a presentation of the L.A. County Arts Commission and proceeds benefit the Ford Theatre Foundation.

 Find Your Space

Find Your Space at the Ford: 

Each week during the summer, the Ford Theatres plaza becomes a free space for the community to meet up, practice and interact in a vibrant outdoor setting. Art makers and enthusiasts of all levels are invited to bring their handcrafts, folk traditions, fine art, music or dance practices onto the Ford’s entrance way and plaza.
